| octane is a rating of auto-ignition resistance of fuel. It measures the ability of anti-detonation. It does not change the combustion process. The pump cell sensor sees the oxygen context of after burn. I have a TE WB DIY kit. It's hooked to my haltech. It only needs to calibrate for free air. And it doesn't matter which fuel you run. The lambda value of any fuel at stoich is 1. And the EMS does not care for which fuel if it's tuned with the lambda values. And of course closed loop is not smart for top end under load. The main difference between a street tune and a high octane tune is the timing map. With his set up( reprogrammed stock eprom + piggy back systems), it does not have the capacity for this level of fine tuning it needed. Anyways, I have done street racing in the past. But it's still dangerous and stupid. You can brag about the numbers and the cars you beat. But in the end, it's still a Nissan. Thousands of innocent people dying from natural disasters. Don't tell me all the money spent for the cheap thrills can 't be better spent. Cheap thrills, yes. All means nothing for that kid with the 2835 twins Supra that put his friend in hospital for life.
